De los mejores álbumes de rap que yo haya escuchado nunca. Este fue su segundo trabajo después de "No More Mr. Nice Guy" y el disco que les llevó a la cumbre con el también "Daily Operation" que vendría un año después en 1992.
Un álbum bastante social y que musicalmente cambiaría o daría una nueva visión al rap norteamericano. Sampleados de jazz con sonidos estridentes y raps contundentes.
Para mi el más mítico grupo de rap de la historia juntamente con RunDMC y Eric B and Rakim. Public Enemy ( Chuck D, Flavor Flav, Terminator X, Proff Griff) marcó una época y una forma de hacer rap, social y comprometido con el movimiento negro, generaron odios y simpatías por todo el mundo.
Este que pongo aquí fue su tercer álbum, Fear of a black planet que bajo mi punto de vista fue la guinda a sus dos anteriores trabajos en los que ya habían cosechado gran éxito en lista de ventas y mi gran favorito de todos los discos de P.E.
No hace falta decir que tengo toda su discografía en original ya que ha sido mi grupo de rap de toda la vida y una gran influencia a la hora de componer yo mis temas musicales.
Este disco contiene el famoso "Figth de Power" que fue aparte de la banda sonora de la película "Do the rigth thing" (Haz lo que debas) también fue todo un himno rap para la comunidad negra en estados unidos y poco a poco de medio mundo. De este tema hay una versión instrumental donde Branford Marsalis toca el saxofón.
